The curriculum at CLS enphasizes all four language skills, which are listening, speaking, writing, and reading. Students, then, learn how to communicate in English, which in turn will help them to understand the many facets of American culture.
Additionally, our carefully balanced and highly individualized program provides students the requisite language skills that will allow them to function in all kinds of social situations, jobs, or disciplines of study. Whether your goal is cultural exploration, advanced academic pursuits, or proficiency within the business world, CLS will meet your needs.

We have three ESL levels : ESL I, ESL II , ESL III.
And we also provide TOEFL classes.


Basic 1 (ESL I)

Basic I course teaches the basics of speaking and writing.
It emphasizes the proper pronunciation, simple grammar, simple dialogue and phonics.

Intermediate (ESL II)

This course is designed to improve fluency and "free talking" skills.
It refines pronunciation and clarity of speech.It focuses more grammar and intense conversation skills. Simple newspaper articles are discussed such as "News For You".

Advanced (ESL III)

This is a course using movie screening on the VCR.
Contemporary movies are used to teach colloquial speech in corresponding situations.
This is and an extension of the intermediate level course. It reviews and Develops the skills taught previously.

TOEFL

In the TOEFL preparation course, we review high intermediate/ advanced grammar, listening skills, reading comprehension.
We focus on complete overview and test-taking strategies for the TOEFL test.
We also administer diagnostic exams for students so that they may learn of their weak areas, and we give trial-tests and practice examinations with formats similar to the TOEFL test so that students may become familiar with the actual test.
In order to take the TOEFL course we require that the student complete ESL Advanced level, or score at least a minimum set by the school on the placement test.
